HR2590 (Dignity and Human Rights for Palestinians) was approved and passed at the General Meeting of the San Bernardino County Democratic Central Committee at the June General Meeting.
HR2590 protects the basic human rights of Palestinians living under Israeli military occupation. It also ensures that United States taxpayer funds are not used by the Israeli government to support the military detention of Palestinian children, the unlawful seizure, appropriation, and destruction of Palestinian property, forcible transfer of civilians in the West Bank, and any further annexation of Palestinian land in violation of international law.
There is unprecedented support by human rights groups, as well as Christian, Jewish, and Muslim organizations, which signals world wide support for human rights. Eighteen US representatives have signed on as co sponsors including Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Cori Bush, Ayanna Pressley and Talib Rashida.
